Top 5 Things To Do in Toronto This Summer

It’s hard to believe summer is half over. Have you been making the most of it? If not, don’t let the great weather pass you by without getting outside and having some fun. If you’re looking for things to do in Toronto this summer, then look no further!

At Canada’s Wonderland, we have hundreds of attractions, rides, shows and events that it could literally keep you busy all summer long. There’s something for everyone. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, a waterslide junkie, a show lover, a foodie, or a family looking for fun activities.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the top things to do this summer that every member of the family will be guaranteed to love – and best of all, you can find them all in one place!

1. Challenge Yourself

Is there a ride you’ve been eyeing that you really want to conquer but haven’t quite mustered up the courage yet? Perhaps it’s Leviathan (Canada’s tallest and fastest roller coaster) or Xtreme SkyFlyer that will send you free-falling 153 feet. Or maybe your little one grew a few inches over the past year and can now take on Silver Streak. Whatever it may be, throw caution to the wind and take the leap of faith! The adrenaline rush you’ll feel when you conquer your fears will be so exhilarating, you’ll probably want to do it again, and again. So go ahead and knock that thrill off your bucket list this summer. You’ll be glad you did.

2. Cool off at Splash Works

There’s no better way to beat the summer heat than with a 20-acre waterpark. Splash Works (which is included with your park admission) has all types of wet and wild fun in the sun for the family, and as a Season Passholder, you get early entry every single day. Thrill-seekers can get their adrenaline rush sliding down the Muskoka Plunge or the Black Hole, the laidback family members can take a float down the Lazy River, while the little ones will love to splash around the newly expanded Lakeside Lagoon.

3. Catch a Show

Taking in a show is great way to spend time with family, have a fun girls outing, or even enjoy a date with your significant other. This summer, you can catch some highly entertaining live shows at the park including the Chicaco Boys Acrobatic Team, Cirque Canadien, the Chinese Acrobatic Show and so much more! And when you factor in that these shows are all free with your admission, you won’t get more bang for your buck.

4. Attend a Festival

Nothing says summer like attending a fun outdoor festival with delicious food and great entertainment. That’s why we’ve got some great festivals lined up. From the all-new Taste of Asia, to returning favourites like Taste of Greece, Taste of Italy and even Oktoberfest, it’s a great way to spend the day with family and friends…especially when you throw some fun rides into the mix. You won’t find that kind of experience anywhere else in the city.

5. Make the Most of Your Long Weekends

One of the best things about summer (besides the hot weather and no school of course), are the cherished long weekends. For us, long weekends mean fireworks, fun, celebration, and did we mention FIREWORKS?! At Canada’s Wonderland, we like to do it big. Come watch as we light up the sky with more than 6,000 fireworks every long weekend.

If you feel like you haven’t been making the most of your summer, there’s still time to make it up and knock some of these fun activities off your bucket list! Grab your friends and family, pick up your tickets and add some fun and excitement to your summer.
